Premium Pine Animal Bedding is a shaved wood by-product that comes from wood such as crown moldings, window frames and door manufacturing companies.  This wood is run through high heat kilns where potential allergens and bacteria are baked off and only the driest material is used. This process throws off shaved wood flakes that are gathered up and shipped to a shavings manufacturing plant. Now the shavings are screened for dust and packaged for shipment.
