is a shaved wood by-product that comes from wood molding plants where items such as crown molding, window frames and doors are manufactured. First the wood is run through high heat kilns where potential allergens and bacteria are baked off and only the driest edge material is used. It is then cut and planed into various shapes and sizes. This process throws off shaved wood flakes that are gathered up and taken to a shavings manufacturing plant. There the shavings are screened for dust and packaged for shipment. This pine animal bedding is a beautiful light colored soft wood that has a wonderful aroma. It is a natural deodorizer and controls ammonia with absolutely no additives. The medium size of this pine wood flake gives it recovery to fluff out and create a soft bedding that is very absorbent.
